What lessons about knowledge sharing did you learn from your initiative ?
Community peace is the situation of social inclusion and social justice in the community where people live without violent conflict. People live securely and freely and with human rights. Social cooperation, collaboration and friendship help to create quality between all people. There is gender and caste equality, protection against violence, social inclusion and social justice in society. There is progress, development, trust and cooperation in the community. Peacebuilding involves creating conditions in the society which will support a long term peace.
Public auditing/social audit practices maintain high level of transparency in project activities promoting good governance at community level. It also enhances the sense of ownership among the community people over the activities and increased their participation in community activities. On top of that, conflicts regarding the issue of misuse of budget reduce significantly and mutual trust among community people can be enhanced.
Harmony within groups which are practicing peace building skills, and their ability to help facilitate broader conflict management and reconciliation within will strengthen peace building within communities.
Facilitating local resource persons at local level is a good approach to transfer skills in promoting peace and harmony to the wider community.
Building skills of women as peace promoter is very effective to maintain peace in the communtiy
· Case stories documentation and its dissemination is helpful and should become the part of knowledge building program
